Founded in April 2021 in Ashburn, Virginia, Chariots of Honor is a nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, community-based, veteran-led, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to honor our military veterans through honorary procession.
On May 1, 2021, Chariots of Honor hosted their first Celebratory Procession for COL Carl C. Johnson, Tuskegee Airman, U.S. Army, Retired.
Mission: We are committed to “Carrying Honor Through Procession." We support veterans from the Armed Forces with honorary vehicle processions in their communities and to honor our veteran's service and sacrifice.
Eric Holland served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1983-2011, and he retired as a Mastery Gunnery Sergeant from Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
During his military service, he served as an Aviation Operations Specialist (7041).
Eric is a recipient of the U.S. Presidential Helicopter Squadron One during U.S. President Bush, Sr and President Clinton; American Embassy Detachment Commander in Lome, Togo (West Africa) and Tel Aviv, Israel; and Combat Veteran Operations Enduring Freedom (2005-2007). Eric also served U.S. Embassy duty from 1996-1999.

Herbert is a native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He is a U.S. Navy academic collegiate scholarship recipient and a graduate of the U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School (OCS).
Herb served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
After sea duty, Herb was assigned to Commander, Atlantic Training Command (COMTRALANT), where he helped lead the establishment of the Afloat Training Group Atlantic (COMAFLOATRAGRULANT) organization, which he is a plank owner and was the officer in charge of several major programs and initiatives, including the consolidation of several U.S. Navy training facilities throughout the Atlantic Coast.
Herbert earned the National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal w/2 clusters, Joint Meritorious Award, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
After being honorably discharged from the military, Herb has worked as a business consultant for several companies in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, supporting major federal organizations and programs. Herb continues to work on major military programs by providing systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA) expertise.
While working for the U.S. Army Headquarters Department of the Army at the Pentagon during 9/11, Herb survived the attack on that fateful day. Since that day, Herb made a personal commitment to continue supporting our U.S. military and veterans through selfless service.
Like the Chariots of Honor co-founders, Herb is passionate about volunteering and serves in numerous organizations, including the USO, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, Marine Corps League, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Knights of Columbus, Warriors to Lourdes, Honor Flight Capital Region, Blue Star Mothers, Wreaths Across America, Vets Rally 4 Vets, Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, National Museum of the Marine Corps, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and the Microsoft Alumni Network.
Herb is also an alumnus of the FBI Citizens Academy Washington Field Office, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy, and the Fairfax County Citizens Police Academy.

With a long history of U.S. military service in the Setnor family since WWI, Thomas continued the tradition and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his service, Thomas served as field MP and conducted convoy security operations in Iraq. Thomas led advisory teams during two deployments to Afghanistan, where he earned the Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon.
Since his military service, Thomas has served as a defense contractor for multiple U.S. intelligence agencies.
Thomas currently serves as a Corporal in the U.S. Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing Police force.
As passionate as he is about the military and our veterans, Thomas is also an honor guard member, firearms instructor, and a sitting member of the D.C. Special Olympics Law Enforcement Council.
