Retired General Donald Hansen Honored for Service at 92

Veterans, public officials, community members and family gathered at the Ashby Ponds gated community in Ashburn yesterday to recognize the military service of retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Donald Hansen.

The decorated veteran served in Vietnam with the 1st infantry Division and went on to become the Assistant Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Army in 1985.

The ceremony was led by the nonprofit Chariots of Honor, with support several nonprofit military organizations.
